Transamerica Pyramid and 505 Sansome Receive Top Industry Awards from Building Owners and Management Association
SAN FRANCISCO, January 10, 2011 – The Transamerica Pyramid and 505 Sansome Street received 2010 “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) award for the San Francisco Bay Area from the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA). Both buildings are owned by AEGON and managed by Cushman & Wakefield of California.
The TOBY award is the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in commercial real estate, recognizing quality in office buildings and awarding excellence in office building management.
Before determining that these two buildings were the best in their size group, a panel of judges met with the property management team, conducted site tours and evaluated the buildings’ policies and programs. These award-winning buildings demonstrated excellence in management and operations in the following areas:

Emergency Preparedness and Security Standards
Environmental and Regulatory Compliance and Programs
Energy Conservation
Tenant Relations
And Community Impact
The Transamerica Pyramid and 505 Sansome will progress to the regional TOBY awards in 2011, where they will compete with winning buildings from the Southwest Region.
